Employment Status: UFCW Laborers, Non-Exempt, Full-Time(40 Hours/Week)

Schedule : Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4:00PM

Certifications/Licenses Required: MA Class D Driver’s License (Mustbe obtained within (6) six months of hire)

SUMMARY

The City of Chicopee’s Department of Public Works – Sanitation/Recycling Division is hiring a Laborer whose primary responsibility will be picking up and loading trash and recycling materials throughout the city into vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Runs a hopper.
• Picks up trash/recycling products.
• Cutting brush and grass.
• May be assigned to litter clean up.
• Adheres to all state, federal, and local safety regulations as well as City of Chicopee Health and Safety policies.
