Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking workers to join crews that install, repair and maintain underground utilities in residential and commercial areas. You will assist in construction, operate with specialized tools, and help ensure safe, efficient progress on daily tasks.

Experience with underground utilities is desired; a CDL A is a plus, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are beneficial. The role involves manual labor, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards on job sites.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

These crews are responsible for going into residential and commercial areas working on underground utilities and working with their crew to complete tasks for the day.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist crew leader in construction/ reconstruction and maintenance work
• Assist equipment operators, swamping, hand digging, locating underground obstructions
• Work with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and other necessary tools
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
• Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers and dump truck
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards

Success Factors:

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift
• Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling
• Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
• Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers
• Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
• English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
• Willingness and ability to learn additional skills

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent desired
• Experience working with underground utilities desired
• CDL A is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

• Possession of, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required.
• Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
