Job summary

PCL Construction Services Inc. is seeking a Laborer (ND) in Fargo to support our Midwest Buildings District. You will report to the site, assist the superintendent, and help prepare and clean up construction areas, including material handling, digging, and minor demolitions.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with basic tool knowledge, safety commitment, and the flexibility to work in changing environments. Pre-employment drug screening and US work authorization required.

As a Laborer for our Midwest Buildings District, you will contribute to our team by:

• Reporting to work on time, ready to work safely and learn
• Assists project superintendent where needed
• Actively takes direction & asks questions to ensure tasks are understood
• Cleans and prepares construction sites as needed
• Loads or unloads construction materials
• Hand Digging
• Fence Maintenance
• Housekeeping
• Hand Trenching
• Minor demolitions
• Associated material cleanup and disposal
• Other duties as required

What you will bring to the role:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Knowledge and use of hand and power tools
• High regard for safety and pride for quality of work
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Able to multi-task, show initiative and ask questions as needed
• Able to follow directions to ensure completion of daily tasks
• Have a high degree of flexibility in a changing environment
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strength to perform average lifting of up to 50 pounds, from the ground to above head.
• Should be able to navigate through the worksite on a daily basis
• Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and under pressure.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Legally authorized to work in the US
