Job summary

Transco Railcar Repair, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking an Entry-Level Laborer to support railcar maintenance. You will perform basic repairs on metal parts according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in a team environment.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a commitment to safety, including passing a drug screen and medical physical. You’ll use pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches,

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass drug screen and medical physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Experience reading specifications, shop drawings, schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are looking for an Entry-Level Laborer to provide support to by performing basic repairs. You will repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches. You will assist with performing a variety of rail car repair related tasks and working in a TEAM environment, establishing good working relationships at all levels.

Wage: $25.50

Shift : 2:00pm-10:30pm

Job Requirements:

• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
• Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.
• Able to pass drug screen, physical.

Pay Range:

22.95 - 28.05
