Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., is seeking an Entry-Level Rail Car Repair Technician in Buffalo, NY. This hourly role starts at $24.39 per hour and runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

You will perform basic repairs on rail cars per layouts, blueprints, and sketches, contributing to a team-oriented work environment. We value reliability and willingness to learn, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within Marmon’s global organization.

Qualifications

• Stick welding is required and demonstrated during the on-site process.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Mechanical experience preferred and able to operate various tools.
• Knowledge of air brake tests or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain regular attendance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Ability to pass drug screen and physical exam.

This is an hourly position starting at $24.39.**Shift:** First Shift Only - Monday - Friday (06:30 a.m.-03:00 p.m.)**Job Requirements:*** Use a variety of tools and equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes.* Stick welding - required.* Mechanical experience preferred.* Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.* Knowledgeable or willing to learn how to perform air brake test.* The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.* The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.* The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.* Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.* Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.* Able to pass drug screen, physical.**What We Offer:**Transco strives to be the Employer of Choice.
