Job summary

SQUAN is hiring for field personnel in Washington State to install and maintain fiber communication systems, including cell towers and ground equipment. You will operate CDL-class trucks and support crews with ground operations, performing construction tasks while following OSHA safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and willingness to travel to sites, with an emphasis on safety and reliable, hands-on work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operating various hand tools.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Able to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • Willing to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • CPR/First Aid certified

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of Fiber communication systems (cell towers, antennas, cables, and ground equipment).
  • Operate company vehicles, including CDL-class trucks, in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Support crews with ground operations (site prep, cleanup, etc.).
  • Perform basic construction tasks such as digging, trenching, concrete work, and site restoration.
  • Follow safety protocols, including OSHA standards and fall protection guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
  • Travel to job sites as required (may include overnight stays).

Job description

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 100lbs
  • Ability to work in remote or congested traffic areas

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in operating various hand tools
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physically demanding work
  • Willingness to work at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

CPR/First Aid certified

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in telecom, construction, or utility work.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certified
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., Skid steer, bucket truck)
  • Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) equipment and cabling
