Job summary

The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority (BTMUA) has an immediate opening for a Laborer – Distribution. The role involves driving vehicles, yard work and assisting in construction, maintenance or repair tasks for a water and sewer system serving thousands.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid New Jersey Driver’s License are required. This is an entry-level position under a union contract, with benefits after a 90-day probation.

Laborer- The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority

The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority (BTMUA), a progressive and large public utility has an immediate opening for a “Laborer – Distribution”. The Authority owns, operates and maintains a water treatment facility and distribution system serving approximately 86K people and a sewer collection system serving approximately 75K people. This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid New Jersey Driver’s License. Duties of the position include driving vehicles, yard work or other housekeeping functions as required, assisting in the performance of construction, maintenance or repair work, available for after-hour emergencies as required, work various assigned rotating shifts, which includes some weekends, and all other duties as assigned. This is an entry level position paying $17/hour as per the union contract. Upon completion of 90 probationary period, medical, dental, vision, pension, and paid time off benefits are available.
