Maintenance Mechanic Assistant – The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority

The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority (BTMUA) is a progressive and large public utility and has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant.

The Authority owns, operates and maintains a water treatment facility and distribution system serving approximately 86,000 people and a sewer collection system serving approximately 75,000 people. This position reports to the Water Treatment Plant Operations and Maintenance Supervisor.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid New Jersey Driver’s License. Duties of the position include cleaning and maintaining process equipment such as basins, aerators, flow chambers, routine preventative maintenance and diagnostic testing equipment as well as repair of mechanical equipment.

Applicants must be available for after-hour emergencies as required, work various assigned rotating shifts, which include some weekends, and any other duties as assigned.

This position pays $35,360 - $45,000 per year depending upon experience and qualifications. Upon completion of a 90‑day probationary period, medical, dental, vision, pension and paid time off benefits are available.
