Starting Pay

$18 - $20 per hour, plus stipends for travel!

Who We Are Looking For

If you have experience in construction and want to learn the drilling and blasting industry with a stable, growing, majority employee-owned company, we want to meet you! Must be able to follow job-specific instructions provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor, or Drill Operators. Candidates should be safety-minded and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Out-of-town/state travel within the New England region (CT, MA, NH, etc.) and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety procedures and policies
• Maintain physical agility
• Submit weekly records, including accurate and signed time cards, to the Blaster/Foreman
• Learn safety protocols for working on construction sites and around explosives
• Follow directions and perform construction labor activities
• Work independently when needed
• Operate water pumps to dry blast holes
• Load and unload explosives from trucks
• Carry stemming stone to blast holes
• Keep the job site clean and organized
• Attend all meetings and participate in safety and job-related discussions

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform essential functions, including working at a steady pace on uneven surfaces outdoors. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (5%), 50 lbs (50%), and to stoop and bend frequently (60-70%).

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record and own transportation (travel within New England required)
• Successful completion of ATF screenings
• Experience in construction labor and heavy equipment operation
• Willingness to learn and develop skills for higher-level tasks
