Starting Pay:

$18 - $20 per hour, plus stipends for travel!

Job Overview:

Do you have experience in construction? Do you want to learn the drilling and blasting industry with a stable, growing, majority employee-owned company? If you answered YES to these questions, then we want to meet you! You must be able to follow job-specific instructions provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor, or Drill Operators. Candidates should be safety-minded and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Out-of-town/state travel within the New England region (CT, MA, NH, etc.) and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
  2. Maintain physical agility
  3. Submit accurate and signed time cards weekly to the Blaster/Foreman
  4. Learn safety procedures related to construction sites and explosives
  5. Follow directions and perform construction labor activities
  6. Work independently when needed
  7. Operate water pumps to dry blast holes
  8. Load and unload explosives from trucks
  9. Carry buckets of stemming stone to blast holes
  10. Keep the job site clean and organized
  11. Attend all safety and job meetings
  12. Participate in daily safety briefings and periodic meetings as required
  13. Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform essential functions, including working on uneven surfaces, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, and 50 lbs frequently, with frequent stooping and bending.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and own transportation (out-of-town travel required)
  • Successful passing of ATF screenings
  • Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills for higher-level tasks
