Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a Production Worker for 1st shift in Dallas, TX, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, at a rate of $16.00 per hour. The role ensures the quality and quantity of packaged goods under production management guidance.

The position is safety-sensitive and requires compliance with GMPs, PPE usage, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Responsibilities include inspecting products, labeling, and assisting with line operations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain GMPs and personal hygiene practices, including gowning.
  • Inspect pouches for imperfections and ensure proper packaging.
  • Stack shippers on pallets and prepare them for shipment.
  • Notify maintenance of line issues and cooperate with co-workers.

Title: Production Worker

Shift: 1st Shift 5AM-3:30PM - Monday through Friday

Pay: $16.00 per hour

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Ensures that the quality and quantity of packaged goods conforms to the company's standards and works under the general direction of production management.

*This position is a safety-sensitive position. Safety-sensitive positions are defined as positions where the employee operates, repairs, maintains or monitors the performance or operation of a motor vehicle, equipment, machinery, or power tools. Safety-sensitive positions also include jobs where the tasks or duties required of the employee could affect the safety or health of the employee performing the task or others.*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Follow good health and hygiene practices including gowning.
  • Follow procedures for changing gloves in between raw materials.
  • Follow GMPs at all times.
  • Clean equipment, utensils and room according to approved cleaning procedures.
  • Follow directions on batch production record.
  • Inspect all pouches coming off the line for imperfections.
  • Put the product into the shippers and seal them with tape that’s provided.
  • Stack full shippers on pallets and repeat process while production is running.
  • Look for any imperfections on the shippers.
  • Notify maintenance with any issues that need attention on the packaging line.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.
  • All other duties as assigned.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Setting up the processes to run product for production.
  • Confirm that everything is set up and running safely.
  • Spot check product quality while production is running.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES
  • Stand and walk on hard surfaces for long periods of time, up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Stand/remain upright and stationary for long periods of time, up to 4 hours.
  • Kneel, bend, stoop and squat repetitively.
  • Twist and turn repeatedly.
  • Reach down, forward and overhead repeatedly.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE), ear plugs, gloves, lab coat, hair net, face mask, etc.
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
