Job summary

Circular Services seeks a Laborer for our Hillburn, NY facility. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, with Saturday mornings as needed. Pay is $21.96 per hour with benefits including FSA, vacation, 401k matching, EAP, and tuition reimbursement.

You will inspect materials, sort into bins, operate safety equipment and machinery, and move recyclable waste. Previous heavy industrial experience preferred and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent.
• English and Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects materials and sorts items or materials into piles or bins by type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics.
• Operate safety equipment and maintain safe work habits.
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist equipment operators.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Move reusable materials to production department or storage.
• Separates metal particles from waste.
• Cleaning duties including sweeping and shoveling residual waste from the process.
• Remove waste materials from conveyor.
• Other duties may be assigned.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Laborer to join our facility in Hillburn, NY.

Shift: M-F 5AM-1:30PM, Saturday as business needs 6AM-12PM | Pay Rate: $21.96 Hourly

• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred .

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

• Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
