Job summary

Circular Services is seeking an Equipment Operator in Hillburn, NY to support recycling and production operations. You will safely operate forklifts, industrial balers, and automated equipment, perform basic maintenance, and help ensure single-stream processing runs smoothly.

The role requires mechanical aptitude and prior experience with industrial machinery; shifts are Mon-Fri 5:00 AM–1:30 PM with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand safety procedures.
• Previous experience operating industrial machinery is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Basic English reading, writing and speaking skills required.
• Driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, industrial balers, and automated equipment safely.
• Monitor material flow into the baler and maintain product quality.
• Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Keep the workspace clean and safe; report issues.
• Provide daily baler production reports to plan operations.

About the Role:

The Baler/Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting daily recycling and production operations by safely operating forklifts, industrial balers, and automated equipment. This role ensures the efficient movement and processing of materials, performs routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance, monitors product quality, and maintains a clean and safe work environment. The operator works closely with operations teams to maximize operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.

Shift: M-F 5AM-1:30PM, Occasional Saturday's – Willingness to stay until 4:30PM | Location: Hillburn, NY | Pay Rate: $25.73

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Driver’s License (if applicable).
• Must be able to read, speak, and write basic English
• Mechanical aptitude
• Previous experience operating industrial machinery
• Experience in the Recycling industry preferred.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Performs duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Operates industrial balers and Loader in the recycling plant.
• Performs all assigned basic preventative maintenance on industrial balers and associated equipment.
• Makes minor repairs and adjustments to industrial balers and associated equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The normal work environment is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring necessary precautions, including PPE
