Lindsay Family of Brands is hiring a Laborer to support its precast production in a full-time role with on-the-job training. You’ll join a team and help safely produce concrete products while working with various staff across the plant.

Responsibilities include reading shop drawings, preparing and installing reinforcement, pouring and finishing concrete, and coordinating with Quality Control. The position offers weekly pay, benefits starting the first day, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete, or industrial plant preferred but not required.
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
• Able to read and understand shop drawings or willingness to learn.
• Able to use hand tools and perform general labor tasks in a production environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed.

• Prepare and install rebar or reinforcing wire.
• Pour and finish concrete in forms according to quality control standards.
• Ensuring tools and work areas are maintained and clear of hazards during the day and at the end of each shift.
• Material movement such as carrying and replacing parts.
• Finish product in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections.
• Communicate with Quality Control for pre-pour and post-pour checks.
• Stop work and report if any unsafe acts or conditions exist.
• Other related duties as required.

Position Summary

Perform all functions necessary to produce precast product efficiently and safely as part of a team. Work with various different employees in a team environment to accomplish required tasks.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 35-50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to work in an industrial plant environment.
• Physically capable of heavy concrete construction for a sustained period of 8-10 hours per day.
• Indoor and outdoor work, Monday through Friday, with some overtime work required including some Saturdays.
• Required to wear a hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses while working in our plant and/or in the yard.
