Job summary

Lindsay Family of Brands is seeking a Laborer in Canal Fulton, OH to perform all functions necessary to efficiently and safely produce precast products as part of a team. You will work with various employees to accomplish tasks and ensure quality through careful handling and finishing of concrete forms.

On-the-job training is provided. Starting wage is $23.34 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401k with 4% match after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely strip forms with an overhead crane.
• Safely clean forms with hand tools.
• Read and understand shop drawings.
• Prepare and install rebar or reinforcing wire.
• Pour and finish concrete in forms according to quality control standards.
• Ensure tools and work areas are maintained and clear of hazards.
• Move materials such as carrying and replacing parts.
• Finish product in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections.
• Communicate with Quality Control for pre-pour and post-pour checks.
• Stop work and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Other related duties as required.

Position Summary

Perform all functions necessary to produce precast product efficiently and safely as part of a team. Work with various different employees in a team environment to accomplish required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely strip forms with an overhead crane.
• Safely clean forms with hand tools.
• Read and understand shop drawings.
• Prepare and install rebar or reinforcing wire.
• Pour and finish concrete in forms according to quality control standards.
• Ensuring tools and work areas are maintained and clear of hazards during the day and at the end of each shift.
• Material movement such as carrying and replacing parts.
• Finish product in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections.
• Communicate with Quality Control for pre-pour and post-pour checks.
• Stop work and report if any unsafe acts or conditions exist.
• Other related duties as required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, construction, concrete, or industrial plant experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and Quality Control.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings or willingness to learn.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform general labor tasks in a production environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 35-50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to work in an industrial plant environment.
• Physically capable of heavy concrete construction for a sustained period of 8-10 hours per day.
• Indoor and outdoor work, Monday through Friday, with some overtime work required including some Saturdays.
• Required to wear a hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses while working in our plant and/or in the yard.
