Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is seeking a Laborer for our local operations to support a range of trades and site activities.

The position involves helping with asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, traffic control, and general labor duties while following safety protocols and company policies on preserving a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and labor for various trades (asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, structures, traffic control).
• Place asphalt using hand or power tools (shovel, rake, pick hammer, tamp, saw).
• Shovel or rake gravel, dirt, or other material.
• Lift, carry, and transfer materials and tools.
• Assist in moving and placing traffic control devices.
• Follow safe practices and procedures.
• Stand or walk for extended periods and work outside in inclement weather.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and labor associated with various trades, including but not limited to: asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, structures, and traffic control
• Placement of asphaltusing handor power tools including - shovel, rake, pick hammer, tamp, saw, etc.
• Shovel or rake gravel, dirt, or other material
• Lift, carry, and transfer materials and tools
• Assist in moving and placing traffic control devices
• Followsafe practices and procedures
• Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and be able to work outside in inclement weather
