Job summary

PACK Power LLC is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to support construction sites nationwide. You will work alongside craft crews, operate equipment, and assist with installation tasks while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and valid licensing, with CDL preferred. You will be part of a collaborative team on diverse projects in renewable, utility, and data center markets. A per diem is provided on assignment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6–12 months of related construction experience.
  • Equipment Operator certifications as required per equipment operated.
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist crew with physical tasks such as loading reels, fueling equipment, threading equipment.
  • Operate tools and equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist in underground utility installation.
  • Coordinate with operators and crews, signaling and directing loads.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and report hazards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and complete daily reports.

Position Scope

Responsible for working alongside other craft workers in physical labor on jobsites and potentiallyoperatingvarious typesof equipment whilemaintaining a clean,safeand efficient construction site and supporting the overall project.

Location & Travel:

This role offers nationwide opportunities based on project needs. In addition to your hourly pay,you’llreceive a daily per diem to assistwith living expenses while on assignment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote andcomply withall Company and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to workhands onwith installation andassistcrew members with physical tasks asrequired(i.e.loading reels, fueling equipment, threading equipment,etc).
  • Primarily focusedon the physical aspects ofinstallationprocess. Ensure capabilitiesextend to operating hand tools,lifting upwards of 50lbs, loading materials, handcompacting soil, andassistingin the installation of underground utilities.
  • Assistwith the threading equipment, handling, and placement of cables and/or conduit per project requirements.
  • Clean and prepare work locations toeliminatepotential hazards
  • Haveknowledge of equipment functions, running, navigating,detectsorassessesproblems, mechanical aptitude, and driving.
  • Gather andmanage materials, consumables,and wasteproductfrom jobsite onto trucks using various pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to hand excavate trenches and remove, fill, or compact native materials
  • Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads,providinghandor audio signals to operators/crew members.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly,listenand understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
  • Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
  • Perform maintenance duties such as cleaning,greasingand oilingmachines,maintenance reports filled out daily.
  • Allother duties as assigned by Superintendent or Foreman.
Education and Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and six to twelve months of related experience in constructionor equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Equipment Operator certifications asrequiredper equipment beingoperated.
  • ValidDriversLicense
  • CDL Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working towards safety principles.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, ability to perform these operations using units, weightmeasurementand volume.
  • Ability to understand units of force, pressure and torque and applyappropriate toolingadjustments for each.
  • Commonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written or oral form.
  • Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards.
  • Working knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in structural fills, DOT, and other public and private entities.
  • Workers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy; follow set procedures and standards, judgedistancesand slopes accurately; and make decisions based on verifiable standards.
