Job summary

Insight Global seeks Utility Laborers for its Rochester, PA operation, supporting projects across the greater Pittsburgh area. You will assist the crew to complete tasks safely, on time, and to customer specifications for quality.

Day-to-day duties include labor tasks, digging, trenching, and helping place underground pipes and conduits, with the use of power tools. DOT physical/drug testing and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).
• Occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely as an essential part of the team; safety is the number one core value.
• Assist in all manual labor tasks as directed by Crew Leader/Foreman/Supervisor.
• Handle physically demanding construction duties outdoors.
• Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, shovel work, and operating power tools.
• On-the-job training in safety, flagging certification, tool operation, and maintenance.

A client of ours is hiring Utility Laborers for their Rochester, PA operation supporting projects across the greater Pittsburgh area. A Utility Laborer will assist the crew in completing the project safely, on time, and meeting the customer specifications for quality.

Required Skills

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach
• Must be able to lift, carry and place heavy objects
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Must have the ability to work extended hours when needed
• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing)
• Comfortable with occasional travel

Day to Day

• Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor
• Handle physically demanding construction duties in an outdoor environment
• Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, shovel work, and in the operation of power tools
• Learning career development skills related to utility construction, including the operation of equipment. (on-the-job training will be provided in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance).
• Occasional extended travel required (Per Diem paid for all out-of-town projects)

Compensation

Compensation: up to $25/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
