Description

The Laborer is an entry-level position responsible for maintaining clean and orderly grounds, facilities, and equipment, and for assisting customers when needed. Laborers must be able to perform independently under close supervision. The Laborer must be willing to work in all climates and be capable of performing physically challenging tasks such as cleaning mud and debris from machines and cleaning the wash pad area. The position requires basic knowledge of equipment operation, including lift trucks, aerial equipment, on-highway trucks, and off-highway trucks. The Laborer will demonstrate initiative, teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding efficient solutions. The Laborer will have opportunities for pay advancement based on attitude, skill level, and job performance.

Responsibilities

1. Basic safe machine operation
2. Identification of material handling equipment product lines
3. Follow 5-Star Contamination Control procedures
4. Perform shop and yard clean-up and organization as required
5. Operate wash rack equipment and properly clean equipment
6. Keep accurate records of all work
7. Assist customers and Company personnel on the yard

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

No formal work experience is required; however, individuals with prior mechanical experience will be given stronger consideration. Experience with personal computers and basic typing skills are required.
