Laborers perform a range of tasks to support Equipment Operators and Foreman in physically demanding hands-on tasks in a fast-paced outdoor environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and marking utilities.Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.Set up trench boxes, shoring, and traffic control measures.Dig trenches manually or assist equipment operators during excavation.Backfill trenches and compact soil using tampers or other equipment.Assist with placing pipes/conduit, pulling/pushing cable, and backfilling.Spot for machine operators and follow dig-safe protocols to prevent damage to existing utilities.Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Participate in jobsite safety meetings and hazard assessments.Use tools and equipment in accordance with safety standards.Operate small tools and support equipment (jackhammers, tampers, etc.).Wash and clean company vehicles and equipment.Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.Work closely with crew members, foremen, and subcontractors to meet daily production goals.Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in site cleanup at project completion.Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a safe and productive work environment.Follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with crew membersRequired Qualifications:Valid Driver’s License with clean driving recordPrevious experience in construction, utility or general labor preferred.Familiarity with trenching, pipe laying, and utility construction practices is a plus.Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Preferred Qualifications:Class A Driver’s LicenseHigh School Diploma or GEDOSHA 10
