Job summary

Laborers support Equipment Operators and Foremen with hands‑on underground utility construction work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with jobsite setup, including clearing debris, setting barricades, and preparing work areas.
• Load, unload, organize, and move tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assist with trenching, excavation, backfilling, and soil compaction.
• Assist with installing conduit, pipe, cable, and other underground utilities.
• Hand dig and pothole around existing utilities as needed.
• Spot for equipment operators and follow utility markings and safe‑dig procedures.
• Assist with jobsite restoration and cleanup.
• Operate small tools and support equipment, including tampers and jackhammers.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, traffic control procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Inspect tools and equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
• Assist Equipment Operators and Foremen with additional jobsite tasks as needed.
