Laborer Support Role at Redstone Arsenal

This position involves performing laborer duties to support the Redstone Arsenal Installation Support Services contract.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, containers, and bins; operate conveyances such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or wheelbarrows.
• Stack materials for storage, collect materials and refuse for reuse, recycling, or disposal, and assist in salvaging materials.
• Move, collect, and arrange various materials, office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances.
• Assist other craftsmen with their daily duties.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and tools through sweeping, washing, or moving barrels and bins.
• Perform heavy manual work, including lifting up to 80 pounds, loading/unloading trucks, operating jackhammers, etc.
• Support the project Safety Plan by actively participating in safety training and complying with safety requirements, including PPE protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug testing as required.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required.
• Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather and lift at least 50 pounds.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain security clearance up to SECRET or pass a National Agency Check.
