Position: Laborer

As a Laborer, you will assist in the revitalization and construction of our surrounding areas, performing a variety of tasks that support skilled trade workers and contribute to project completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up and clean up job sites, ensuring materials are ready, areas are prepped, and staging is removed as necessary.
  • Direct traffic at or around job sites when required.
  • Haul, dig, and move materials and equipment.
  • Lift objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds.
  • Assist skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.) as needed.
  • Use hand tools and small power tools; acquire own tools gradually.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Prior construction experience preferred but not required.
Benefits

Signing and referral bonuses of $500 and more are offered for all positions.

Travel

Some travel to surrounding job sites is required. RAM provides per diem for travel and overnight stays when applicable.

Technology

Some technology use may be required. Proper training will be provided for software and equipment.

Work Environment

Laborers may work in seasonal temperatures, high or small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing or walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor or outdoor settings, and areas close to traffic.

Following Instructions

Adhere to instructions from superintendents, project managers, and construction plans and blueprints.

Cleanliness

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area.

Safety Compliance

Follow all RAM health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.

Physical Demands
  • Rarely (less than 10%) – standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting 60+ lbs.
  • Occasionally (up to 33%) – reading, carrying, pushing, pulling.
  • Frequently (up to 66%) – climbing, gripping, body twisting.
  • Continuously (67–100%) – standing, walking, lifting.
