Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Gardena, California, is seeking a full‑time Metals Sorter to prepare and sort metals for recycling, identify and remove hazardous substances, and support safe, efficient operations in a heavy industrial setting.
The role requires operating forklifts and hand tools, following safety rules, passing a colour vision test, basic math, and 12‑hour shifts with overtime. Prior forklift experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Education and Experience – High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Two (2) years’ experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
Competencies – Experience operating forklifts preferred. Must pass a colour vision test. Attention to detail with basic math skills, including accurate addition and subtraction. Proficient in basic computer use for work order entry and completion. Able to use basic hand tools. Physically able to frequently lift up to 35 lbs, with frequent bending. Able to multi‑task with shifting priorities and multiple interruptions. Willing to work shifts and overtime as needed, including 12‑hour shifts. Performs other related duties as assigned.

The job requires frequent reaching overhead, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, walking, repetitive hand movements, and lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs. Frequent forklift and hand‑tool operation is required. Visual inspection of product and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (metatarsal shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection) are mandatory.
Works primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, flames, water and extreme heat and cold. Occasional exposure to vibrations and noise.
