What you’ll do as a Laborer

  • Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
  • Install underground telecommunications cabling
  • Operate construction equipment, and maintain work areas
  • Clearly communicate with all team members
  • Complete daily production reports
  • Help with site restoration efforts
  • Hand dig using shovel and/or mechanical tools
  • Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
  • Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
  • Perform work in all weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned



What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
  • Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks is preferred
  • May be required to work overtime, after hours, and weekends. May be on-call for emergency call-outs as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
  • Duties will require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, using hands and fingers, reaching high and low, and other physical activities
  • Work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, and hardhat
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne pathogens may occur
  • Remote work may be required, involving long driving and sitting
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and challenging driving conditions
