What you’ll do as a Laborer

• Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
• Install underground telecommunications cabling
• Operate construction equipment, and maintain work areas
• Clearly communicate with all team members
• Complete daily production reports
• Help with site restoration efforts
• Hand dig using shovel and/or mechanical tools
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers; flag traffic when needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (not provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card
• Previous experience with hand tools and utility trucks is preferred
• May be required to work overtime, after hours, and weekends; may be on-call for emergencies

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• Stand, crouch, sit, bend, handle or feel with hands, reach high and low, while on shift
• Work while wearing safety boots, glasses, and a hardhat
• Exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne pathogens
• Remote work may be required, involving long driving and sitting
• Work in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and challenging driving conditions
