What you’ll do as a Laborer
  • Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
  • Install underground telecommunications cabling
  • Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas
  • Clearly communicate with all team members
  • Complete daily production reports
  • Help with site restoration efforts
  • Hand dig using shovel and/or mechanical tools
  • Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
  • Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers; flag traffic as needed
  • Perform work in all weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
  • Valid state driver's license (non-provisional) and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card
  • Previous experience with hand tools and utility trucks is preferred
  • May be required to work overtime, after hours, weekends, and be on-call for emergencies
Physical Requirements
  • Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
  • Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed
  • Stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers; reach high and low
  • Work while wearing safety gear (boots, glasses, helmet)
  • Potential exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne pathogens
  • Remote work may be required, involving long drives and sitting
  • Work in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and fog
