Job Title: Laborer

Typical Pay Range: $18 - $25 /per Hour

As a Laborer at Layton Services, your role will assist with various tasks on construction sites. No prior experience is required, but basic knowledge of construction is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Works with a team
• Assists skilled workers as assigned
• Prepares trenches by digging, grading, and compacting as needed
• Helps install trench shoring, safety equipment, and follows all safety protocols
• Uses hand and power tools, such as shovels, rakes, tampers, and saws
• Loads, unloads, and transports materials around the job site
• Assists with pipe alignment, bedding, and sealing
• Maintains a clean and organized job site
• Sets safety example by following proper OSHA guidelines at all times
• Performs general labor and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction is a plus but not necessary
• Knowledge of basic tools and equipment used in construction
• Willingness to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
• Ability to work in trenches and confined spaces
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
• Certifications (can be obtained once hired): OSHA 10-Hour Card
