Job summary

Rhode Island Blood Center in Providence, RI seeks a part-time Laboratory Support Technician to assist in the Testing laboratory. You will receive and prepare samples, set up tests, run quality control and provide general lab support under supervision.

The position requires lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry. Shift is 3pm to midnight on weekdays with alternating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must lift up to 60 pounds.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare samples for testing.
• Assist in testing setup and quality control procedures.
• Support equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Generate daily reports as required.
