Job summary

Labcorp in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team. You will prepare specimens for analysis, troubleshoot issues, and release results while delivering accurate data and courteous service to clients.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM with rotating weekends. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, with opportunities for growth within Labcorp’s global laboratory network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfort with handling biological specimens.
• Ability to identify specimens accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Release test results to proper location and communicate with clients.
• Assist with specimen requests and inquiries.
• Process specimens for sending to other facilities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform record-keeping and data entry.
• Support various laboratory areas as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience

Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.25/hr. + Shift Differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
