NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Generalist Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and complex tests across Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry and Microbiology. You will ensure quality control, document results, and follow up on out-of-range findings.

On-site at the NYP Allen Hospital campus in Upper Manhattan/Inwood, with on-demand shifts. Required are a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related health science, NYS licensure as a

Qualifications

• Two years of laboratory experience in Blood Bank, Chemistry and Hematology are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related health science is required.
• New York State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) is required.
• ASCP certification is preferred and advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and complex tests in Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry and Microbiology.
• Perform quality control procedures and document all results with follow-up on out-of-range results.
• Manage testing on-demand as a Per Diem Generalist at NYP Allen Hospital in Upper Manhattan.

Conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in various areas of the laboratory including Bloodbank, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry and Microbiology.Perform quality control procedures for all tests as dictated by policy and document all results plus follow-up on out of range results.

This is a Per Diem Generalist position working on-demand as needed. Location is our NYP Allen Hospital campus in Upper Manhattan/Inwood.

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification

• Minimum of two years experience as a Laboratory Technologist in Blood Bank, Chemistry and Hematology

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related health science field is required

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department

Salary Range:

$68.25/Hourly
