Job description

Sustainable Talent is partnering with a global leader in clinical diagnostics, environmental, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics testing, and agro-sciences CRO services to expand their team.

This position is based in Philadelphia, PA and is a Direct Hire Laboratory Technologist 2 role. The pay ranges from $26-30/hr depending on experience. We seek technologists with 3-5 years of professional testing experience, specifically HLA testing.

Shift options include:

  • 1st shift: 8 am - 6:30 pm with rotating weekends
  • 2nd shift: 3 pm - 1:30 am with rotating weekends
  • 3rd shift: 10 pm - 8:30 am with rotating weekends

Additionally, there is a 3rd shift opening for a Lead Laboratory Technologist in this lab, with pay between $30-38/hr, requiring HLA experience and 5+ years of lab testing experience.

Laboratory Technologist 2 responsibilities include:

  • Following prescribed procedures, performing tests across laboratory specialties, and calculating results.
  • Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory analyzers and equipment.
  • Recognizing and correcting analyzer malfunctions and notifying management.
  • Preparing reagents or media per procedures.
  • Evaluating media, reagents, and calibrators based on established criteria.
  • Conducting quality control procedures and evaluating results, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Determining performance specifications for new methods.
  • Verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzers.
  • Monitoring quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
  • Ensuring safety compliance in the laboratory.
  • Reporting patient results accurately using laboratory information systems.
  • Writing and reporting laboratory procedures and test results following standardized formats and procedures.

Qualifications for Laboratory Technologist 2:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship.
