Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Tinley Park, IL team for a full-time temporary role with potential to become permanent. The incumbent will prepare and analyze environmental samples following GMP/GLP and Eurofins SOPs, use standard analytical techniques and instruments, and ensure accurate data reporting.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry degree, 1–2 years of lab exposure, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field required.
• 1–2 years of laboratory exposure or experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques.

• Report data and any unusual test occurrences to supervisor.

Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for a Laboratory Technician, to temporarily join our team at the Tinley Park, IL site. Position will be offered as a full time temporary role, with the oppertunity to potentially be considered temporary to hire role, as available.

The Laboratory Technician prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins programs and standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Aliquots and weighs samples
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferred
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• 1-2 years of previous laboratory exposure or experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Reading, writing and speaking skills

Additional Information

Position will be Sunday- Thursday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM with overtime as needed.

Pay Range: Starting at $18.00/hr- $20.00 based on experience.
