Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a motivated laboratory worker to assist in sample preparation, chemical analysis, and data reporting. The role emphasizes strict adherence to GMP/GLP, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Starting pay is $18.00–$19.00 per hour, with full-time hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The position requires a high school diploma and science-related lab exposure; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Minimum High School Diploma.
• Bachelor in a science with lab work preferred.
• Ability to use power and hand tools (band saw, drill press, rock crusher).

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Perform chemical analysis using standard methods.
• Calculate data and report results to supervisor.
• Maintain instruments and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP and QA standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Handle client samples from various materials.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:
  • Preparation of samples using standard techniques
  • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
  • Calculating data
  • Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
  • Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins environmental health safety and Quality assurance standards
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Aliquots and weighs samples
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to use power and hand tools. Including, but not limited to: band saw, drill press, and rock crusher
• Use experience and judgement to determine the best way to break down a variety of client samples from rocks to solar panels.

Qualifications

• Required Minimum High School Diploma
• Bachelor in a science, with lab work, preferred.
• Ability to use power and hand tools. Including, but not limited to: band saw, drill press, and rock crusher.
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)
• Comfortable with Math and Statistics a plus
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position Hours: Monday- Friday 8 AM- 5 PM

Starting Range for Position is $18.00- $19.00/hr
