Eurofins Environment Testing in Tinley Park, IL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard techniques in a GMP/GLP environment. The role involves handling instruments like GC, GC/MS, AAS, and ICP, with responsibilities including sample aliquoting, weighing, glassware washing, and safe, efficient work practices.

The candidate should have a BS/BA in chemistry or related field, 1-2 years lab exposure, and proficient English.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • 1-2 years of previous laboratory exposure or experience.
  • Professional working proficiency in English including reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
  • Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument-specific data systems
  • Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
  • Aliquots and weighs samples
  • Washes glassware
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for a Analyst to join our team at the Tinley Park, IL site.

The Laboratory Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins programs and standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
  • Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
  • Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
  • Aliquots and weighs samples
  • Washes glassware
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:

  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferred
  • Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • 1-2 years of previous laboratory exposure or experience.
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

The ideal candidate would possess experience with:

  • Preparation of samples using standard techniques
  • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
  • Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
  • Reading, writing and speaking skills
  • Team participation and meeting management skills
  • Time management and organization skills
Additional Information

Position will be Monday- Friday, 1st shift, 9 AM- 5 PM

Pay Range: Starting at $18.00/hr- $20.00 based on experience.
