Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking an Analyst to join our Barberton, OH team. The Laboratory Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard techniques in compliance with Eurofins SOPs.

Essential duties include operating GC, GC-MS, AAS, ICP instruments, weighing samples, and maintaining safety and data records. 1–2 years of lab experience and a chemistry degree are preferred; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in chemistry or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of laboratory exposure or experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples per SOPs.
• Operate GC, GC-MS, AAS, ICP instruments and related systems.
• Record, report data and communicate unusual occurrences to supervisor.

Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for an Analyst to join our team at the Barberton, OH site.

The Laboratory Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins programs and standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Aliquots and weighs samples
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferred
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• 1-2 years of previous laboratory exposure or experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor

Additional Information

Position will be Tuesday-Saturday 2:00 PM- 10:00 PM, with overtime as needed.

Pay Range: Starting at $22.00-$24.00 based on experience.
