Job summary

Russell Tobin, partnering with a leading Pharmaceuticals organization, seeks a Laboratory Technician for Knoxville, TN. This is a 6-month contract for recent graduates or entry-level candidates in biology, with 2nd shift hours 2:00pm–10:30pm.

You will perform donor and unit testing, operate lab instruments, document results, maintain QA records, and support cross-department training while adhering to cGMP, EHS, and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution; recent graduates welcome.
  • Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology also considered.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within the laboratory and with other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working around laboratory chemicals and bloodborne pathogens with required PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory procedures related to donor and unit suitability testing and other required assays.

  • Complete quality control and equipment maintenance according to SOPs and applicable cGMP requirements.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and proficiency with laboratory information systems and sample workflows.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and elevate unresolved equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Follow all regulatory, safety, EHS, and laboratory procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal laboratory teams and support training across multiple departments as needed.

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading Pharmaceuticals organization to identify a Laboratory Technician for an opportunity in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory procedures related to donor and unit suitability testing and other required assays.

  • Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology also considered.

Preferred

  • Tennessee MLT or MT licensure.
  • 2 years of related laboratory experience.
  • Location model: 100% onsite - Knoxville, TN 37932
  • Schedule: 2nd shift M-F 2:00pm - 10:30pm (rotating holidays)
  • Position Type: 6-month contract
  • Pay range: $21-$25/hr
