Job summary

IDEXX in Irvine, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform sample receipt, preparation, and analysis in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work in two departments—Sample Management and Parasitology—using standard procedures to handle specimens, enter data, and ensure timely testing, with comprehensive day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; science degree preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is beneficial.
• Veterinary technician or medical laboratory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and accession veterinary samples (blood, urine, feces, biopsies).
• Enter specimen data into tracking system and rack/bundle samples for delivery.
• Assist lab personnel with storage and ensuring Turnaround Times are met.
• Work with fecal samples in Parasitology, using automated analyzers and microscopes.
• Follow SOPs to move samples efficiently through testing processes.
