Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Capital Choice Pathology Lab is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join a team delivering high-quality pathology services. The role includes slide distribution, routine H&E staining, handling digital pathology imagers, and quality control across daily tasks.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in science or related field (BS/BA preferred) and about 1 year of laboratory experience. The schedule is 40 hours weekly, day shift, Monday–Friday, with a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• 1 year of laboratory setting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Slide distribution and LIS verification.
• Routine staining and maintenance of H&E stainer and coverslipper.
• Load/unload digital pathology imagers and assign cases.
• Perform special stains and hand staining as needed.
• Quality control for daily work and accession specimens.
• Prepare non-GYN specimens and other cytology duties as assigned.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep.
• Participate in department performance improvement and CE.
