Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a PRN first-shift laboratory professional for a 40-hour work week schedule (Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM).

You will process and prepare specimens, identify issues, and implement corrective actions in a fast-paced laboratory with PHI handling and strong safety standards. The ideal candidate has at least an associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology and 1 year of high-complexity testing experience, plus solid reading,

Qualifications

• At minimum an associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes, and audible alarms.

Responsibilities

• Perform a vital part in processing and preparing specimens to be sent out to different reference laboratories.
• Identifies specimen issues and in some cases, may resolve issues with specimen types.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
