Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, is seeking a part-time Lab Technician for North Dartmouth, MA. The role runs Monday–Friday from 10am to 2pm, with a pay rate of $24.00–$26.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will process specimens, follow SOPs, and perform QA tasks to ensure reliable results.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for specimen handling, processing, and storage.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare solvents and reagents per established SOPs.
• Perform screening testing using the AU analyzer.
• Validate new AU reagents, calibrators, and quality control materials.
• Set up, prepare, and manage batch plates accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize laboratory information systems and laboratory software.
• Complete daily logs, records, and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Use required PPE and laboratory equipment per safety procedures.

What You’ll Do As a Lab Technician, you will support accurate specimen processing, handling, and documentation to help ensure reliable laboratory results. Key responsibilities include:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specimen handling, processing, and storage.
• Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory instrumentation operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare solvents and reagents in accordance with established SOPs.
• Perform screening testing using the AU analyzer.

What We’re Looking For Bachelor's Degree Required. If education was completed outside the United States, the credential must be evaluated by a NACES member organization. Previous lab experience preferred Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including: Stand for long periods of time. Estimate 90% of time is spent standing and 10% spent sitting. Have frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat and reach above shoulders. Frequent standing and walking are required. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Tasks, and Planner.
