Job summary

Precision Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Technician 1 to join our San Diego lab. You will process specimens, operate instruments, and maintain accurate documentation to support reliable test results.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and prior lab exposure; you will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in our facility, using MS 365 tools to track data and communicate with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; foreign education must be evaluated by a NACES member organization if applicable.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to help others in a clinical lab setting.
• Prior lab experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for specimen handling, processing, and storage.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare solvents/reagents per SOPs; set up and manage batch plates.
• Use laboratory information systems and software; document logs and records.

If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy helping others, we'd love to have you join us.**What You’ll Do**As a Lab Technician, you will support accurate specimen processing, handling, and documentation to help ensure reliable laboratory results. Key responsibilities include:* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specimen handling, processing, and storage.* Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory instrumentation operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.* Prepare solvents and reagents in accordance with established SOPs.* Perform screening testing using the AU analyzer.* Validate new AU reagents, calibrators, and quality control materials.* Set up, prepare, and manage batch plates accurately and efficiently.* Properly utilize laboratory information systems and laboratory software.* Complete daily logs, records, and documentation accurately and timely.* Maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance with all laboratory, safety, and regulatory requirements.* Use required PPE and laboratory equipment in accordance with safety procedures.**What We’re Looking For*** Bachelor's Degree Required. If education was completed outside the United States, the credential must be evaluated by a NACES member organization.* Previous lab experience preferred* Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including:* Stand for long periods of time.
