Job summary

Duraco Specialty Materials is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Technical Department by preparing samples and conducting physical performance tests. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and timely project completion on a dynamic team.

You will develop test plans, manage calibrations, and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences while pursuing professional growth in coatings and release liner testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, or materials science (math or statistics also considered).
• Experience in a chemical lab and plant environments is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong time management to handle multiple projects.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to analyze materials for qualification and support new product development.
• Develop test plans and complete required testing for assigned projects.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data from tests and trials.
• Manage instrument calibrations and maintain lab equipment.
• Prepare coatings and test panels, and perform data entry.
• Present test results to stakeholders with clear conclusions.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams on findings.
