Job summary

Duraco Specialty Materials is seeking a lab-focused professional to support the Technical Department by preparing samples and performing physical performance testing. You will develop test plans, collect and analyze data, maintain lab equipment, and collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams.

The role demands initiative, strong communication, and comfort working in chemical lab and plant environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, physics or material science; math/statistics degrees considered

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead projects to analyze materials for qualification, develop new products, and support Commercial and Operations teams
• Develop test plans and complete necessary testing for assigned projects
• Collect, organize, and analyze data related to projects
• continually develop skills and knowledge related to release coatings, release liners, tapes, and materials testing
• Manage instrument calibrations and maintain lab equipment in good condition
• Provide input on equipment modifications to expand testing capabilities
• Test against established specifications and make recommendations based on results
• Present data to audiences with varied technical backgrounds
• Perform standard lab functions: coating draw-downs, test panel prep, sample prep, lab maintenance, data entry, and sample collection from production floor
