Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a part-time laboratory support professional for the North Campus Research Complex location. The role provides clerical/administrative support, accessioning, specimen processing and distribution, and instrument/lab maintenance.

Evening shifts are required, with potential for hybrid/remote arrangements at the department's discretion. The position emphasizes accurate data entry, QA/QC, and collaboration with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor or Associate degree with experience preferred.
• Reasonable knowledge of laboratory methods and equipment desirable.
• Previous experience with standard lab procedures desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical/administrative support including answering calls and scanning documents.
• Accession, process and distribute patient samples per lab procedures.
• Maintain/instrument labs: document maintenance, monitor reagents, enter results.
• Perform testing and quality control, ensure accurate data entry.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education as required.
