Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Quality Assurance & Food Safety professional to perform routine microbiology laboratory operations. You will set samples for microbial testing, prepare dilutions of food and environmental samples, and run pathogen testing as part of a team dedicated to food safety.

The role requires 3+ years of directly related experience and a high school diploma or GED. Expect standard shifts and a focus on accuracy, quality documentation, and safety compliance within a busy lab

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a microbiology laboratory. Duties usually consist of setting samples for microbial testing; making dilutions of food and environmental samples, setting samples for pathogens testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs laboratory work according to prescribed standards.
• Determines microbial loads in food and environmental samples.
• Sets up, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Analyzes samples. Performs laboratory tests according to prescribed standards
• Tests samples to verify conformity to specifications. Records test results.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

EDUCATION

Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
