The Rhon-Calderon Lab at Magee-Womens Research Institute, University of Pittsburgh, is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team investigating how early-life exposures shape reproductive, placental, fetal, and maternal health.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on training in IVF/ICSI, reproductive biology, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing, while supporting day-to-day operations and data collection on campus in Pittsburgh.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with small-animal procedures is helpful but not required.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine laboratory procedures and experiments.
• Learn and perform small-animal procedures, including mouse handling.
• Assist with IVF/ICSI; prior experience is preferred but not required.
• Prepare reagents, media, solutions, and samples per protocols.
• Collect, process, label, and store biological specimens and materials.
• Maintain accurate lab records, databases, and inventories.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Monitor supplies and assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Assist with data collection, organization, and basic analysis.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment and follow biosafety rules.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and general research activities.
