Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to support tobacco product testing and quality control, performing sample prep, LC analyses, and documentation in LIMS.

You will calibrate instruments, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with quality systems while communicating with client staff and teammates. Monday–Friday schedule with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related laboratory or quality control experience.
• Familiarity with standard lab concepts, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample preparation on tobacco products using smoking machine and wet chemistry techniques.
• Performs routine analyses in support of product assessment and quality control using LC and wet chemistry.
• Documents results in notebooks and LIMS with good documentation practices.
• Performs instrument calibration and recognizes errors.
• Adheres to quality standards and quality system requirements.

Job Description

Senior Laboratory Technician responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following

• Performs sample preparation on tobacco products using smoking machine and wet chemistry techniques; provides support to analytical chemists
• Performs some less complex routine analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on tobacco products utilizing Liquid Chromatography, and/or multiple wet chemistry techniques
• Accurately documents result in notebooks and laboratory LIMS, in compliance with good documentation practices
• Performs instrument calibration, and recognizes errors
• Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements
• Communicates effectively with client staff members and co-workers

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• At least one-year related laboratory or quality control experience; familiarity with standard lab concepts, practices, and procedures

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Comfortability working in a tobacco manufacturing facility

Additional Information

• Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM.Overtime as needed.
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
