Job summary

Noven is seeking a dedicated laboratory support technician to assist with routine lab tasks in a lab/warehouse setting. You will handle sample receiving and handling, cleaning, and clerical duties while following safety rules and PPE requirements.

The role requires reading and following written procedures, working under general supervision, and maintaining accurate documentation. Training and compliance with cGMP are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs routine laboratory support tasks (e.g., waste disposal, dishes, housekeeping, sample receiving and handling).
• Complies with safety regulations and uses PPE as required.
• Executes tasks per project plans and quality metrics.
• Follows cGMPs and internal SOPs.
• Completes training activities and documents training.
• Notifies supervisor of testing abnormalities or deviations.
• Maintains laboratory data documentation with accuracy.
• Performs clerical tasks such as instrument cleaning, preventive maintenance, calibration and data entry.
• Monitors hazardous waste levels and disposes accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by QC management.

Overview

Perform routine laboratory support tasks (e.g. waste disposal, dishes, housekeeping, sample receiving and handling, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Complies with all company safety regulations and procedures and reports non-compliance. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) associated with assigned tasks.
• Executes against project plans and goals as assigned by Quality Management. Meets productivity, quality and teamwork metrics for level.
• Performs all assigned tasks according to applicable cGMPs and internal written procedures.
• Follows strict good documentation practices per company's SOP and cGMP regulation.
• Actively completes assigned training activities and documents training within assigned time frames and before performing any activity associated with the training topic.
• Notifies supervisor immediately regarding testing abnormalities, OOS/OOT results, and deviations from established testing procedures.
• Works under supervision and receives instruction for non-routine assignments.
• Maintains proper documentation of laboratory data (which requires adequate proficiency in written and computational skills.
• Provide general laboratory support and clerical tasks; such as routine instrument cleaning/preventive maintenance/calibration, sample receiving and handling, chemical inventory, document filing, housekeeping, dish washing, and electronic data entry.
• Monitor levels of hazardous waste in disposal containers and empties as necessary.
• Completes any other duties assigned by QC management as required.

Qualifications

Competencies:

Education / Experience:

High School education with a good command of the English Language. Must be able to read, understand, and follow written procedures.

Judgment / Decision Making:

Duties are performed under general direction regarding methods of execution with periodic review of assignments. Duties are performed within framework of departmental protocols requiring moderate interpretation and original thinking.

Work Environment:

A laboratory and/or warehouse environment with exposure to chemicals, caustics, fumes, heat, and odors.. Carelessness could result in minor injury.

Physical Demands:

Majority of time spent standing, stooping and bending. Required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
