Description

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.

What to Expect

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to:
  • Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
  • Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
  • Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
  • Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • Previous Laboratory or Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (90% of day)
  • Bend, Lift up to 50 lbs.
